To our customers,

Over the past two years, we have seen rising component costs, with the rate of increases accelerating recently. We manufacture Joulescope products in the USA, and nearly every component now has a tariff. Most of our suppliers have announced at least one price increase. One extreme example is a part we ordered in April that is finally being delivered, but at 3.35 times the quoted price.

We have worked hard to absorb these price increases since our last increase nearly 5 years ago. We optimized the JS320 manufacturing process, which is less expensive than the JS220. We benefited from purchasing our initial JS320 components nearly a year ago, before many of the recent increases took effect. Unfortunately, these savings are minimal compared to the rising component costs.

We are likely entering a major supply chain shortage, with some chip suppliers now quoting 52+ week lead times. Supply chain shortages and component prices appear to remain challenging for some time. While we work to manage these risks aggressively, we have reached the point where we can no longer absorb our rising supply costs.

Effective January 1, 2027, we will be increasing prices as follows:

 Product Current Price New Price
JS320-K000 999 1199
JS320-K001 1399 1599
JS220-EVK1 99 129
FP02-USB 39 49
FP02-BNC 39 49
FP02-SBA 39 49

All prices are in US dollars.

I understand that price increases are never welcome. However, we believe that Joulescopes continue to deliver exceptional value. These adjustments will allow us to maintain the quality, innovation, and support that you expect of Joulescopes.

All orders placed through December 31, 2026 will receive current pricing. If you plan to add more Joulescopes to your team, hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test stations, or end-of-line manufacturing stations, you still have plenty of time to purchase before the new prices take effect.

We remain committed to developing precision measurement instruments to support engineers and developers working on energy-efficient products. We are grateful for your trust in selecting Joulescopes for your measurement challenges.
